La construction modulaire à la rescousse !

Le centre d'oncologie Inspira de Woodbury, dans le New Jersey, avait un besoin urgent de desservir les patients atteints de cancer dans les communautés environnantes. La décision de développer un nouveau type d'installation comprenant des technologies modulaires a permis une construction plus rapide afin d'offrir plus rapidement des traitements médicaux à ceux qui en ont besoin. Dès le début du processus de conception, il a été décidé que la santé et le confort des patients et de leurs familles seraient prioritaires. Compte tenu du calendrier et de la rapidité avec laquelle le centre commencerait à fournir des services, les propriétaires ont conclu que l'installation pouvait être conçue pour refléter un niveau plus élevé de qualité de conception et de construction.

Le centre d'oncologie comprenait divers espaces communs à la plupart des établissements médicaux, tels que des bureaux, une zone de réception, des salles de conférence, des salles d'attente, des salles d'examen, un salon et des installations auxiliaires. Le centre a été rendu ouvert par l'utilisation d'une claire-voie et d'un mur-rideau d'entrée pour maximiser l'éclairage naturel. Des façades innovantes et attrayantes ont été mises en place à l'extérieur du bâtiment pour en améliorer l'esthétique. Des sculptures d'art uniques ont été commandées et placées autour de l'installation parmi le magnifique aménagement paysager qui entoure le centre.

En outre, ce centre comprenait une salle SIM CT pour permettre une imagerie plus rapide des patients et une salle LINAC pour la protonthérapie, où des rayons X ou des électrons à haute énergie sont utilisés pour combattre les tumeurs et détruire les cellules cancéreuses. Des salles de contrôle spécialisées, attenantes aux espaces thérapeutiques respectifs, ont été incorporées dans la construction.

Sustainable Modular Management Inc. avec le soutien du fabricant Southeast Modular Manufacturing, a pu travailler avec Inspira Health Network Group pour concevoir, développer et finalement construire un centre médical hautement technique, sophistiqué, innovant et accueillant en moins d'un an !
