Les premiers logements modulaires temporaires de Vancouver

En réponse à un besoin immédiat de relever le plus rapidement possible les défis de la ville de Vancouver en matière d'accessibilité au logement, Horizon North a été choisi par la Vancouver Affordable Housing Agency (VAHA) pour réaliser le tout premier projet de construction de logements modulaires temporaires de la ville. Ce bâtiment innovant de trois étages, d'une superficie de 14 785 pieds carrés, offre des logements provisoires aux résidents à revenu faible ou fixe.

Le bâtiment comprend 40 suites individuelles de 250 pieds carrés avec salles de bains et cuisines indépendantes, climatisation individuelle et espace de vie privé. Quatre des suites ont été conçues pour accueillir des personnes ayant des besoins en matière d'accessibilité et présentent des aménagements personnalisés et une conception adaptative conviviale. Le bâtiment central comprend des espaces communs intérieurs et extérieurs, tandis que la façade extérieure est ornée de deux peintures murales réalisées par un artiste local des nations Wuikinuxv et Klahoose, qui reflètent l'histoire de la région.
